Bretts 1978 Cb400T Build

So, just like my XS650, this also started as a $300.00 POS. The only thing it did have going for it was that it ran... yeah good and great until I got it apart and found a cracked piston, more on that later. So this bike has undergone some MAJOR frame modifications, starting with completely chopping off the back half of the original perimeter frame and making a whole new upper frame, seat, shock mounts etc.. the stock tank looked like dog shit, so we can across this 76 XS tank, and started chopping away on it. I modified a set of triple trees from a CX 500 to fit so we could run the larger, adjustable forks, and the wheels are currently getting a re-work by Jason at wheelspinmx.com. Frame swingarm etc are powdercoated and ready to rock! Its still a long way out, but she's coming together and I plan on having it ready to rip by the end of march..

1981 Yamaha XS650

So here's some pics of my 1981 Yamaha XS650 that I completed at the beginning of last summer. The bike was a $300.00 piece that hadn't run for over 10 years. Lots of elbow grease, grinding and welding brings us to what we have here today.. Ironically, I just completely tore down the whole bike to have the frame powder coated by the boys at TNL Multiservices in Post Falls, Idaho and some much needed additions to the wiring hiding department. I also just tore the motor down for a bit of Hot Rodding, more on that later.. Enjoy!
